Weekly Tournaments

All tournaments signup at 7pm and start by 7:30. Entry fee is $5. Double-elimination.

  • Wednesdays 8-ball
  • Thursdays 9-ball (plus a 10-ball break and run)… and it’s singles night with APA singles boards every other week (1st and 3rd)

Rules that we play

Every place you play has different rules. Here are ours for the tournaments. If you have a question, just ask the person running the tournament. Play fair… that’s all we ask.

8-Ball – Race to 2 wins

  1. Win: Race to 2… pocketing the 8 ball.
  2. Breaks: Lag for the break. Alternate breaks after. Open table after break.
  3. Fouls: Behind the line on the break, otherwise, ball in hand. Ball must hit a rail after contact for legal hit.
  4. Call Pocket… not shot. (Can hit other balls on the way in.) Must hit your own ball first.
  5. Loss: Table scratch (pocketing cue ball) on 8 is a loss.
  6. Masse and jump shots legal. Scoop shots  and double hitting are a foul.
  7. Accidental moving of balls: not a foul… opponent has choice to move balls back or leave them.

9-Ball – Race to 3 wins

  1. Win: Race to 3… pocketing the 9 ball.
  2. Breaks: Lag for the break. Alternate breaks after.
  3. Fouls: Ball in hand on all. 3 fouls in a row is a loss (must notify on 2.) Must hit lowest ball on table first and must hit a rail after contact for legal hit.
  4. Masse and jump shots legal. Scoop shots  and double hitting are a foul.
  5. Accidental moving of balls: not a foul… opponent has choice to move balls back or leave them.
